Plan
Begin planning your move at least 6 weeks ahead of time. You can never plan too much.
Where
Have items placed where you'd like them when your mover is unloading. This will save you time and effort later on. Why should you have to move that washing machine, sofa, or refrigerator when we're unloading it already?
Electronics
Electronics should sit unused for at least 24 hours so they can come to room temperature before being turned on. I know that means you won't have TV for a day, but it'll work afterwards.
